Stimulus Controls

Use the Connect button to connect to an external LED device.
Use the sliders to adjust the light intensity of the acquisition light (white or red).
Settings: Click a checkbox to add a control tab corresponding to a TTL device installed.

Define the parameters for each stimulus component.
- Enter the parameters.
- Optional: Modify the intensity or the plot color.
Click Options then modify as needed.
- Click Add label. Labels correspond to the time period during which a stimulus is applied. They will be used to refine analyses (see Label analysis).

Define the stimuli that you will monitor using the Manual Control tab.
Manual control is a way to record the temporal length of events (via labels) without manually keeping track of the events' time points.
To define a stimulus:
- Enter a name.
- Enter a description.
- Click Add.
- Go the manual Control tab to record events.

Click the ON and OFF buttons to record the temporal length of events defined under Stimulus definition (this is the manual part of this operation). WormLab automatically creates a label each time a temporal length is recorded.
To record an event:

Only consider this option when you're having difficulty with acquiring at a high rate at high resolution with very short stimuli. Note that in this case, the acquisition rate will dictate temporal resolution.
